We’re just 13 days into the month (and ten days into the film’s release) and Joker has already made more money than any movie has ever made during October. Box Office Mojo was predicting a 53% drop in weekend-over-weekend revenue for Joker domestically, which meant this past weekend its total would’ve dropped from $96.2 million to about $46 million. The first was The Martian, which accrued $180 million domestically in 2015 and around $426 million worldwide. Last year, that film made $190 million domestically in the month of October and $520 million globally. When Shark Tale was released on October 2004, it brought in $146.8 million domestically.
