Bournemouth are close to signing Lewis Cook from Leeds United for £6m, with the midfielder set for a medical on Friday. Leeds had been hopeful of agreeing new terms with Cook, whose progress has also been monitored by Crystal Palace. Yet Cellino has suggested he would rather lose Taylor without a transfer fee – Leeds would be due compensation if they offer the player a new deal – than sell him this summer. Eddie Howe has agreed a fee for the England Under-19 international, who has one year remaining on his contract. “I’m very disappointed with the way he has acted,” the Leeds owner told the Daily Mirror.
