Team Tirinzoni reacts to winning the women's final of the Humpty's Champions Cup against Team Einarson in Saskatoon on Sunday. ( Matt Smith / THE CANADIAN PRESS )The Tirinzoni team worked quietly and methodically, never quite letting Einarson into the game. In the final, Tirinzoni held hammer from start to finish, breaking a 2-2 tie with two points in the fifth end. After eight competitive ends in the men’s final, Bottcher didn’t need to throw his last rock in the extra frame after Koe was heavy with his attempt at a freeze with his final shot. Bottcher won seven consecutive draws at Merlis Belsher Place on his way to the $40,000 first-place prize.
