Botswana set to strengthen electricity networkThe North West Transmission Grid Connection (NWTGC) in Botswana is set to strengthen the electricity network and grow the country’s economy in various sectors. The NWTGC project valued at P4.8 billion ($500k) will be implemented in two phases. Giving the overview of the project, Dr Schwarzfischer said the NWTGC would create employment for 2,100 people in each phase of construction. The minister said the intention in the future was to see Botswana exporting power to neighbouring countries.
