Farah became a suspect when a CBSA officer in Winnipeg picked him out of robbery photos taken from security camera footage. The hearing officer was Trent Cook, the same officer who had first released Farah after praising his honesty and character. Farah told an IRB hearing he has hired a U.S. lawyer to try to get his felony convictions expunged.
