Boston born actress Ayo Edebiri took home the award for best actress in a television comedy at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night. Some fans have christened Edebiri, "Irish princess" and welcomed her to the Irish community as an honorary member, due to her love for the country. As an area with distinctly Irish roots, it is likely that Edebiri’s obsession with Ireland and all things Irish began during her upbringing. While there is no evidence that Edebiri has any Irish heritage from her mother’s side, many Barbadians - like Rihanna- have undiscovered Irish roots.
