UNCONFIRMED reports say the Special Adviser on Niger Delta and head of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brigadier-General Paul Boroh (retd), might have been fired. Recall that regrouping militants groups from the Niger Delta led by the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) has been, in the last one week, threatening to resume lethal attacks on critical oil and gas assets over grievances yet to be attended to by the Federal Government. A presidential source, according to PigPen Online, revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari ordered Boroh’s sack and chop for replacement. It was also gathered that his international passport has been allegedly seized. The plan may be an issue and that is why people are protesting against it already, but no official communication yet,” Cleric, a lawyer, submitted.
