Boris Johnson self-isolating after hosting MP who was infected with Covid-19

A photo shows Mr Johnson and Mr Anderson, the 53-year-old MP for Ashfield in Nottinghamshire, not wearing face masks and appearing to be less than two metres apart, drawing criticism from a Labour MP. His being required to self-isolate is a fresh setback after infighting amongst his top advisers plunged Downing Street into chaos last week. Mr Johnson added: "It doesn't matter that we were all following the guidance and socially distancing - see the Facebook photo." Mr Johnson was admitted to St Thomas' Hospital in London on April 5 after his symptoms worsened. In September 2020, Mr Anderson spoke out about other MPs labelling each other "fat old racists" if they supported Brexit.
