Border agents experience 'officer involved shooting' at San Ysidro Port of Entry

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents were involved in a shooting Monday evening at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, located within the City of San Diego, which is north of the U.S.-Mexico border with Tijuana, officials said. Northbound vehicle and pedestrian lanes at the port of entry were shut down for approximately 30 minutes due to the incident. San Diego police officers were brought in to aide Customs and Border Protection agents. Officials are keeping the westbound vehicle exit from the port of entry closed Monday evening to preserve the scene. U.S. Customs and Border Protection is cooperating with investigations by other law enforcement agencies.
