Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi, the cultural organization which was at the forefront during the Telangana statehood agitation, is all set to celebrate the state festival ‘Bathukamma’ in over 300 locations in Telangana and across 12 international locations. After the formation of Telangana in 2014, the TRS government, led by KCR, declared ‘Bathukamma’ as a state festival, in a bid to give the state its own cultural identity. On 30 September, a book named ‘Pula Singidi’ will be launched at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad as part of the festival celebrations. This book is written by 316 female poets, making it the first ever biggest collaboration of this kind in Telugu Literature, added the release. "Bathukamma has been promoting values and has added spiritual significance to the daily lives of people", said Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha, in a press release on Saturday.
