A bronze statue immortalising Bonecrusher was unveiled at the home of the Auckland Racing Club (ARC) on Thursday. Bonecrusher, widely regarded as one of the best racehorses ever to race in Australasia, passed away in 2015 aged 32. On Saturday at Ellerslie, the $200,000 Group I Bonecrusher race will be contested in honour of the first New Zealand racehorse to win $1 million in stakes.
