The great Willie Mays called out Hall of Fame voters this past August and now those eligible members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America seem to be responding. Mays thinks his godson, Barry Bonds, belongs in the National Baseball Hall of Fame. But along with 354-game winner Roger Clemens, they are getting close, certainly part of the conversation with three years remaining on the writers’ ballot. Bonds and Clemens are at their apex, Clemens name appearing on 72.9% of the ballots and Bonds at 72.3%.
