A construction crew with Blakeslee Arpaia Chapman Engineered Construction out of Branford, continues work that began in mid-September, on much needed repairs to the North Pier at Stonington Town on Thursday, October 16, 2025. The pier has suffered significant wear and tear over the years from waves, sea-level rise and erosion. Roughly 40% of of the pier’s main structure will undergo renewal including the replacement of 65 pilings. Additionally, new stairs, ladders and catwalk will be installed.
