The son of Bomet East MP Beatrice Kones died in Nakuru on Thursday night. Kipyegon Kalya, 40, was pronounced dead on arrival at War Memorial Hospital after claims that he had committed suicide. Family friend and former Roads Minister Franklin Bett has denied reports that Kalya, a son of former Cabinet Minister Kipkalya Kones, committed suicide. Bett, who was at the War Memorial Hospital on Friday, said Kipyegon's cousins told him he was in a jovial mood before his death. The deceased's body is at the War Memorial Hospital mortuary.
