The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have decided they need some emergency help at quarterback, after all. After it appeared the struggling team wasn’t going to acquire a veteran to back up Chris Streveler, the Bombers on Wednesday swung a deal with Toronto for the much-travelled Zach Collaros, right at the CFL trade deadline. If Collaros, a pending free agent, re-signs with the Bombers, Toronto gets an additional first-round pick. Walters had also enquired about Collaros, but Toronto GM Jim Popp didn’t want to move the 31-year-old. In Collaros the Bombers get a quarterback with a history of concussions who hasn’t thrown a single pass this season.
