Winnipeg’s Grey Cup parade folk hero is heading to the NFL. The Blue Bombers on Monday released dual-threat quarterback Chris Streveler, clearing the way for him to sign with an NFL team. If he makes an NFL roster, Streveler will earn close to $500,000. “Thanks so much to the Bombers, the City of Winnipeg & all the fans across Manitoba,” Streveler said via a text message delivered by the Bombers. Streveler threw the Bombers’ only touchdown pass, to Andrew Harris, in the Grey Cup win over Hamilton.
