Bombay HC asks Mumbai University to provide extra answer sheets to students

Observing that the Mumbai University (MU) has come out with a novel idea that answer sheets won’t be lost if not provided, the Bombay High Court on Friday stayed a circular of the varsaity that barred supplements to students in exams. MU said it would only provide a 40-page thick answer sheet, arguing that it would be more than sufficient. "Currently, an answer-sheet comprises 40 pages of which 4 pages are taken up by the rules, marking details etc. The university's logic that each student would complete the paper within 40 pages is flawed and should be reconsidered...the university cannot restrict anyone" she said. The court has now asked the university to file its reply and posted the matter for further hearing next month.
