CITY OF MALOLOS — A bomb scare greeted Monday morning classes at the Bulacan State University, prompting officials to send home hundreds of students who were supposed to take their midterm examinations. A text message, received at 7 a.m. by a ranking school official, states, ”This is the last time I am warning you! Goodbye Bulacan State University, Bustos and Malolos Campus, 3 bomb (sic) will explode today Goodluck!”ADVERTISEMENTSupt. Heryl Bruno, Malolos police chief, said the provincial police explosives unit swept through the university and concluded that the threat was a prank aimed at pushing back the exams. The state university, Including its campuses, has a population of more than 40,000.
