A bomb planted next to the Ring Road police station, New Cairo, exploded on Thursday causing destruction of part of the police station’s wall and its steel gate. Explosive experts and detectives headed to the accident spot and cordoned off the area. A security source from the Interior Ministry said the bomb targeted the police station. Security troops guarding the police station suddenly found a bomb exploding, planted by unknown persons, the source said, adding that they found a large amount of nails inside it.
