A new exhibition will open today to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II at Bolton Museum. The display will feature pictures of when the Queen visited Bolton. A highlight of the exhibition will be the Town Hall Visitors’ Book from 1954, the year the young Queen Elizabeth made her first visit to Bolton. Queen Elizabeth II visited Bolton several times during her reign. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip took a trip to Bolton town hall in 1954.
