Boko Haram militants attacked a military post in the northern town of Waza on Sunday night, leaving a soldier injured. The terrorists were accompanied by two suicide bombers who blew themselves up and died, reported Cameroonian newspaper, L’Oeil du Sahel. The newspaper said the attackers hit Multi National force located in Amtalia in the district of Waza in Cameroon’s far north. Why it matters: Attacks by Boko Haram in Cameroon and Nigeria have left tens of thousands of people dead and million others displaced. Reports in Nigeria said last week that President Muhammadu Buhari, who vowed to crush Boko Haram when he assumed office in 2015, is thinking of granting amnesty to the militants to bring the bloodshed to an end.
