Boil water notice lifted for 65,000 in south Dublin and Wicklow

Irish Water has lifted a boil-water notice for about 65,000 people in south Co Dublin and Co Wicklow with immediate effect. The notice which was issued on Monday is lifted for all areas except Woodstock business park in Kilcoole, Co Wicklow, pending the results of ongoing investigations. Irish Water said it had directly contacted the customers in the eight units within the business park. A chlorine dosing and a water sampling programme was carried out to test the chlorine levels in the impacted areas. The utility said the water was meeting all drinking water standards.
