The residents of the village of Belkuchi Paschimpara located in Dhunot upazila in Bogra did not expect human remains to be part of the harvest. The very first scoop of the shovel revealed a human skull and some bones hastily buried beneath the soil. Around 5pm in the afternoon, the police arrived and collected the skull and nine bones including the ulna (forearm bone) and the tibia (foreleg bone). The police also found a torn up lungi buried nearby. We have sent the bones and skull to the forensics for initial examination and then we will do DNA tests if necessary.
