Boeing faces new questions after plane's window blowout

On Friday an Alaska Airlines 737 Max 9 was left with a large hole in the side when a window panel blew out seven minutes after takeoff from Portland, Oregon. US aviation officials have ordered all Boeing 737 Max 9 planes to be inspected after the incident. A Max 8 jet operated by Lion Air crashed in Indonesia in 2018, and an Ethiopian Airlines Max 8 crashed in 2019. And in December, Boeing told airlines to inspect the planes for a possible loose bolt in the rudder-control system. Australia's air regulator -the Civil Aviation Safety Authority- says there are currently no Boeing 737 Max 9s flown by any airlines in Australia.
