Virgin Australia has pushed back delivery of the first of its troubled Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to 2025. We are confident in Boeing’s commitment to returning the 737 MAX to service safely and as a long-term partner of Boeing, we will be working with them through this process. And the pilots’ union at American Airlines said Boeing’s proposal for additional pilot training on the MAX doesn’t go far enough. Besides the software update, Boeing will present the Federal Aviation Administration with a plan for training pilots on changes to MCAS. The union for American Airlines pilots wants mandatory additional training on checklists for responding to certain emergencies.
