Boeing 737 Max is grounded in Europe, India and elsewhere — but not the U.S. - News Summed Up

Boeing 737 Max is grounded in Europe, India and elsewhere — but not the U.S.

China, Australia and Singapore had already grounded the Max, and the spread of the ban to Europe represents a major blow to Boeing as it grapples with the aftermath of the crash in Ethiopia, which killed all 157 people aboard. Britain is the world’s third-biggest aviation market, and the European Aviation Safety Agency — alongside the FAA in the U.S. — is one of the industry’s two biggest regulators. Southwest Airlines has 34 of the planes in service, American Airlines has 24, and United Airlines has 14.
