SUNGAI PETANI: Police have discovered the body of a 41-year-old man with a disabilities in an oil palm plantation at Taman Desa Aman here on Monday. Kuala Muda district police chief Assistant Commissioner Md Zukir Md Isa said that the police received a distress call at about 5pm and found wounds on several parts of the man's body when it was found. He added that the initial investigation has revealed that the man left his home at 8pm on Sunday and that his wife tried unsuccessfully to contact him on his handphone. "A group of men saw his dead body on the ground at about 5pm on Monday and informed the police," he said in a statement. ACP Md Zukir added that the body was sent to Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah for a post-mortem while the case is being investigated for murder.
