The body was found on Aug. 5 near Rosedale Valley Rd. “This person was not easily identified and police sought the assistance of the Centre of Forensic Sciences,” Toronto police wrote in a statement Thursday. “Because of the possible link between Alloura Wells and this investigation, police submitted further information to the Centre of Forensic Sciences, with the assistance of a family member.”The news comes after a forensics lab examined DNA from the body. Toronto police have identified a body found in a Rosedale ravine over the summer as missing transgender woman Alloura Wells. Her family reported Wells’ disappearance on Nov. 6, but they were allegedly told that the case was not “was not high priority” because Wells had been homeless for a number of years.
