The bodies of 12 more deer have been recovered from the Sundarbans after they were carried away by the tidal surge caused by Cyclone Remal. The bodies of 127 deer and four pigs have been recovered. Forest Department officials gave them first aid before releasing them into the forest. Since Tuesday the Forest Department has been searching the Sundarbans and recovering dead deer every day. According to the information provided by the Forest Department, the dead bodies of 40 deer, one tiger and one whale were found in the Sundarbans after Cyclone Sidr in 2007.
