In a phone interview Friday on “The Dan Patrick Show,” Knight reiterated his lack of interest in ever returning to Indiana. “As far as the hierarchy at Indiana University at that time, I have absolutely no respect whatsoever for those people. Meanwhile, Knight has steadfastly refused to return for any university function, including some expressly meant to honor him and/or his players. After leaving Indiana, Knight coached for seven seasons at Texas Tech before becoming an analyst for ESPN.
