Two organisers of The Bluff Oyster Fringe Festival, Dena Gray, left, and Cherie Chapman have preparations well in hand for the event in May. The third week in May promises to be a busy one for Bluff with the port town holding two festivals. The Bluff Oyster & Food Festival is a sellout on May 22 but throughout that week The Bluff Oyster Fringe Festival will be held at different venues. Fringe festival founder Cherie Chapman said fashion shows and displays and an art exhibition and competitions, all with nautical themes, were the main features of the seven-day event. Helping her with the art sections is former Tauranga woman Dena Gray who has been a community artist for 30 years.
