FITCHBURG — In the nightcap of the 17th annual Mark Bushnoe Memorial Christmas Tournament, the hosts from Lunenburg/Ayer-Shirley punched their ticket into Saturday night’s final in convincing fashion. Behind a balanced attack that saw seven different players score, the Blue Knights dominated the visitors from Leominster High and cruised to an 8-0 victory on Friday night at the Wallace Civic Center. “We played a solid three periods, and we obviously have more depth than them,” said Lunenburg/Ayer-Shirley head coach Eric Short. Nicosia scored 2:14 into the frame and scored just before the period ended with 33 seconds left. Logan Martin and Martone also scored in the middle frame as the Blue Knights held a 7-0 lead.
