MINNEAPOLIS—Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson said he feared for his safety in Sunday’s 3-1 win over the Twins. In that game, a comment from the Twins dugout, believed to have come from bench coach Joe Vavra, set Donaldson off after he’d grounded out. “I looked at the guy responsible for getting me thrown out yesterday, told him I came to play today,” Donaldson said. I’m not going to throw it at someone else, either.”The Twins also claimed Donaldson spit in the direction of their dugout after the long ball. Donaldson did glare at the Twins bench as he crossed home plate.
