The Jays are in a heap of trouble when it comes to reaching the post-season. One of them is rookie right-hander Joe Biagini, who entered in the sixth inning nursing a two-run lead. With runners at the corners, Josh Donaldson, the Jays’ Bringer of Rain, slapped a short fly ball toward the right-field line. Then, with two men out, Jose Bautista launched a two-run homer to the back row of seats above the Monster, giving the Jays a 3-1 lead. Sixteen of his 22 homers have given the Jays a lead.
