With his wrist taped, the second baseman singled to left in each of his first two at-bats, driving in a run with the second hit. He also stole a base in the fourth inning on the back end of a double steal with Whit Merrifield. The 2022 all-star finished up his three-hit day with another single to left to lead off the eighth. The Jays are hoping that George Springer will have a similarly speedy convalescence. The leadoff man was hit in the right hand in the third inning, the first of three Jays to get plunked.
