MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine women’s softball team ended its campaign in the WBSC Softball Asia/Oceania Qualifier with back-to-back losses for fourth place at the Shanghai Chongming Sports Training Center in China. The Blu Girls, ranked 13th in the world, bowed to No. 6 Chinese-Taipei yesterday, and failed in their bid to claim a berth to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The slot will either go to Australia or No. Still, Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL) president Jean Henri Lhuillier said the Blu Girls can do well in the coming SEA Games.
