Rajasthan’s tableau was rejected by the defence ministry for being low on cultural aspect and high on state government publicity. Rajasthan had received first and second prize in 2002 and 2013, respectively for displaying its rich and colourful cultural heritage. In 2002, Jaisalmer’s tableau had received first prize while Bundi’s Chitrashala got second prize in 2013. However, like previous year, this year too, Rajasthan’s tableau failed to pass on standard parameters. Rajasthan’s tableau rejected: On the Republic Day, tableau of 14 states, ministries and departments will be part of the parade but Rajasthan couldn’t qualify for the second consecutive year.
