Bloor-Danforth subway back to normal service for today's commute

Service on the TTC's Line 2 subway (Bloor-Danforth) is back to normal this morning after a fire yesterday shut down three west-end stations during the afternoon commute, disrupting thousands of passengers. TTC officials were uncertain whether service would return to normal in time for today's morning commute, but sent a message at 4:38 a.m. saying that trains would be running normally today. A fire at the back end of a subway car forced an evacuation of Runnymede station. Service between Keele and Islington stations was suspended.
