KUALA LUMPUR: Despite the disappointment of not qualifying for next year’s Blind Football World Cup, the Malaysian football team do not want to finish last on home soil. Yesterday, the Malaysian Blind Tigers squandered a golden opportunity to reach their maiden World Cup when they lost 4-3 to South Korea in their final Group B tie. "Now they want to go out there and beat Japan, because they don't want to finish last on home soil." Japan, in Group A, lost their first match 3-0 to second seeds China, before drawing 2-2 against Thailand. All four semi-finalists have already booked their spots in next year's World Cup in Madrid.
