The Taylor Police Department was sued – again – for allegedly using excessive force against a Black person. In this case, the driver was repeatedly tased and punched by cops in front of his daughter. Officers then pulled him from the car, and claiming he was resisting, Tased him repeatedly, including once while he was pinned face-down to the ground. “Yet the City of Taylor has a custom of acquiescing to this practice and failed adequately to train and supervise its officers on the constitutional use of force.”
