That was the thought process that eventually birthed one of New York's most viral restaurant chains, Black Tap. However, these confectionary delights were not always the central draw behind Black Tap. When Black Tap's original location in SoHo opened in 2015, its focus was centered on both high-end burgers and beer. At the newly opened Lower East Side location, Black Tap's focus is driven towards refreshing the old beer-and-burger concept with a brand-new craft beer menu. "Craft beer is in Black Tap’s DNA, and Gun Hill Brewery was the perfect partner for our first collaboration beer," he says.
