Yes, Avengers: Infinity War topped the $248 million debut weekend of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (sans inflation), and now Black Panther has pushed its way to$1.331 billion, placing it in ninth place on the global charts above Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Oh, and in more fun Black Panther news, the Ryan Coogler-directed MCU flick has passed the inflation-adjusted domestic totals of The Dark Knight and Thunderball with a new $688 million domestic total. Black Panther may not make it to $700 million domestic or past Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part II ($1.43 billion), but I'm sure everyone is all busted up about that. By the way, Black Panther and Infinity War were both in the top-five this weekend, with the earlier flick earning $4.5m (-7%) in its 11th weekend. Will Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel and Avengers: That Which Must Not Be Titled be enough to finish this round above $20 billion?
