Canadian legends Kardinal Offishall, Jully Black, and Deborah Cox are slated to perform at The Black Academy’s first-ever Legacy Awards this Sept. 25. The brand-new event was created to celebrate Black culture and excellence in this country, as well as showcase emerging Canadian talent to a wider audience. The Black Academy was founded by Canadian actors and brothers Shamier Anderson and Stephan James, and they’ll also host the inaugural 90-minute Legacy Awards. The Legacy Awards will be held Sunday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m. ET at History in Toronto and broadcast live on CBC and CBC Gem.
