The price of bitcoin fell sharply Thursday, at one point losing more than 20% in less than an hour, a steep drop even for the notoriously volatile asset. Bitcoin on Thursday morning dipped below $6,000 for the first time since May. It rose to $6,125 by early afternoon, according to data from CoinDesk, though it was still down about 20% for the day.
