From the Tribune staff reportsBIRMINGHAM – A Birmingham man was shot and killed while sitting inside a vehicle on Thursday, May 11, 2023. Around 9:50 PM, officers were dispatched to a call of shots fired in the 1400 Block of 33rd Street North. The victim, Erskin Irvin Jr., 37, of Birmingham was observed inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers arrived on the scene and Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. They went outside and discovered the victim inside his vehicle.
