Birdland, Feinstein’s/54 Below, New York Philharmonic, Carnegie Hall Offer Holiday Music Programs, Many Free

A number of New York’s top popular and classical music institutions— including clubs Birdland and Feinstein’s/54 Below, the New York Philharmonic and Carnegie Hall—are offering a wide array of holiday programs, some free, starting tonight. Feinstein’s/54 Below’s new streaming series, “54 Below Premieres,” debuts at 8 p.m. EST tonight with a “Broadway Princess Holiday Party,” featuring Broadway’s original Cinderella, Belle and Jasmine. Christmas at Birdland melds old and new to create a modern classic holiday album, borrowing from a dazzlingly creative, cross-generational array of sources. For over 50 years, performances by the New York String Orchestra have been a Christmas Eve tradition at Carnegie Hall.
