East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service sent a team of four to Asda in Eastbourne on Thursday to rescue the gull. It had been flying around the store for several days and had started to become tired. "Luckily rescuers were close at hand and supported the bird between two net heads till a ladder arrived to bring the gull down to safety." When it is back to full health it will be released back outside the supermarket where it came from.
