BirdElectric scooter startup Bird has hiked fares in the U.K. but its ambition to transform transportation in the British capital remains stalled at an East London park. Bird launched in the U.K. in November last year with prices of 20p (26 cents) per minute. A Bird spokesperson told Forbes that from Thursday onwards, the price per minute for a Bird scooter in the U.K. will be set at 25p (32 cents). Bird and Lime aren't the only ones vying for a slice of the electric scooter market in Europe, however.
