MAKATI City Mayor Mar-Len Abigail Binay has ordered the police to investigate the alleged assault of a policeman on a resident of an exclusive village. In a statement on Monday, city spokesman Michael Camiña said Binay directed the police to pursue an “immediate inquiry” into the confrontation at Dasmariñas Village. Videos circulating online showed that Javier Salvador Parra, a Spanish resident of Dasmariñas Village, was allegedly physically assaulted and nearly arrested by police in the frontyard of his own home. Roland Madrona was deployed in Dasmariñas Village on Sunday afternoon upon the request of Hwang. Simon said Madrona chided Parra’s maid, Cherilyn Escalate, for not wearing a face mask while watering the plants outside.
