By Tim Royner: Former WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders expressed interest in fighting Chris Eubank Jr. last Saturday night following his fine performance in beating James DeGale at the O2 Arena in London, UK. Eubank Jr. (28-2, 21 KOs) defeated DeGale (25-3-1, 15 KOs) by a 12 round unanimous decision by the scores 114-112, 115-112 and 117-109. Eubank Jr. was credited with two knockdowns in rounds 2 and 10. Eubank Jr. lost a point in the 11th after he picked Eubank Jr. up and deposited him on the canvas with a wrestling body slam. It sounds like Eubank Jr. isn’t too concerned with the need of avenging his earlier loss to Saunders from 2014.
